Construction has begun, the equipment is arriving and the dirt is moving! As almost all of our wonderful members know, and have been so patiently waiting, the Y is building a new facility at 200 Summit Road in Keene.

On Monday, August 30 MacMillin began moving dirt to prepare for construction of the new Y!  Our facility is expected to be finished and open for business by next September!  It will be fully handicapped accessible and will feature:

* A brand-new child care center
* 2 pools - one competition-sized lap pool and one warm therapy pool
* Outdoor playing spaces
* Basketball courts, gymnasium & indoor walking track
* Fitness Studios
* Racquetball/Squash Courts
* Youth & Adult Wellness Centers
* Community Spaces
* Climbing Wall
* Locker Rooms with Showers
* Whirlpool, Steam & Sauna
* Bike Racks
* 150 Free Parking Spaces

You, our members and donors, are the REASON we are able to build the Y. While we've raised over $10.1M we still have $2.1M to go to reach our $12.2m goal.  Between now and December 1 we will follow up on conversations with prospective donors already in process.  After the Monadnock United Way blackout period ends we will kick off a broad FINAL community campaign to raise the final dollars.  Now that we will begin spending our funds, the timely payment on your pledge becomes critical.  Please contact the Y's Development Office if you have any questions or concerns about your pledge terms.

The Y thanks our donors for their early commitment to, and belief in, the Keene Family YMCA!

To follow the progress of the project, please drive by the site at 200 Summit Road or frequently check back here for photos and updates on this monumental project!
