The Y Welcomes Liesel Dolce as New KYD Swim Team Coach

The Keene Family YMCA is pleased to announce that Liesel Dolce will be joining the KYD Swim Team as the new Head Coach for the upcoming 2010-2011 competitive season. A 2008 graduate of Keene State College, Liesel was the Captain of the Keene State Varsity Swimming & Diving team. Liesel holds much recognition for both her swimming ability and her leadership talents, including the Melanie Tripp Award for Dedication & Leadership.

Using her knowledge and enthusiasm, Liesel plans on building a strong, competitive swim team that will eventually move into the new Y in 2011. Daily pool practices will focus on stroke technique as well as strength and endurance training. Additionally, dry land training will be offered in the Y’s Wellness Center and Gymnasium so that the swimmers can enhance their swimming abilities with core muscle strength.

Clinics will be held in August so that interested swimmers can meet Liesel and get a jump start on the upcoming season.
